As a full-time pastor and church planter, I've spent the last twenty years teaching God's Word to God's people. With each purchase of a Chapter House leather Bible, a portion goes back to help plant more gospel centered churches.

It's my joy to produce this heirloom leather Bible that will stand the test of time. Each leather Bible is hand-bound in Texas and features full-grain US-tanned leather. Each Bible is constructed by hand using Smyth-sewn pages to ensure durability and longevity.

Each US-sourced full-grain hide has lived a different life making each Bible truly unique. **Each hide is subject to color variations, as each hide takes the tanning process differently.

NIV Thinline Large Print

I ordered the NIV Thinline Large Print Coffee Brown bible with engraving. I ordered it on 8/12, it shipped on 8/18, and arrived on 8/22 in perfect condition. I'm 38 and have never worn glasses, but I didn't want a small font that required me to strain my eyes. The large print font is the perfect size for me. The bible is still very compact in case you're worried large font might defeat the purpose of a thinline bible. The quality and craftsmanship are fantastic (...and the smell). I have a large study bible I use daily, but I wanted something I could tote to men's group and to church without lugging my study bible around (and something I can easily pick up and read while in bed). I went with NIV for ease of reading aloud in a group setting. I just ordered a NASB95 Thinline Large Print Coffee Brown to tote around for personal study on the go and at home (for the more literal translation). If you're on the fence about this product, I hope this review will serve as an encouraging shove in the right direction. Thanks Sean! And speaking of Sean. My bible doesn't have any sort of logo on it like the pictures on the website. I saw a comment on FaceBook where someone asked about that. Sean commented that he didn't feel right advertising on the Word of God. It's a privilege to support a business with that type of integrity who serves God not only by the product/service it provides, but also by its actions. I'll be coming back for years to buy these bibles as gifts for friends and family. I covered up the engraving for privacy purposes, but it looks great too! Romans 10:17.
